Australia had a significant gap when it came to women in leadership. HCL wanted to do more than talk about it, creating Women Lead Australia — a 13-week, 1:1 corporate mentorship programme connecting aspiring female leaders with senior executives. Our role was to build the communication around the initiative and get Australian businesses behind it.

Australia can do better

For a nation proud of its achievements, the numbers told a different story. Australia Can Do Better challenged that gap head-on, using Australia's competitive spirit to spark conversation and participation across film, digital and social.

The initiative later extended to Women Lead USA, launching with a thought-provoking ad that brought the conversation around women in leadership to a new market. What began as a challenge in Australia became a platform for a much bigger conversation.
